LOCATION: Wolverley, Nr Kidderminster (operating primarily out of the Wolverley Branch)

The Role:

We are actively seeking to recruit a dedicated and reliable full-time HGV Category C (Class 2) Driver to join our team, predominantly operating from our Wolverley branch and serving the surrounding areas.

As an HGV Category C Driver, your primary responsibility will be to provide a friendly, efficient, and obliging delivery service to our extensive and valued customer base. This is a crucial customer-facing role, and we are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with people and is committed to delivering excellent service.

Your daily duties will involve multi-drop deliveries, primarily to residential addresses. This will require a proactive approach, including assisting in the loading and unloading of your vehicle to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

Multi-Drop Deliveries: Safely and efficiently execute multi-drop deliveries of building and construction materials to a diverse customer base, predominantly residential addresses.
Customer Service: Provide a friendly, obliging, and professional delivery service, representing TG Builders Merchants positively to all customers.
Vehicle Operation: Operate an HGV Category C (Class 2) vehicle in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all road traffic regulations and company policies.
Loading and Unloading: Actively assist with the safe loading and unloading of your vehicle, which may involve manual handling of various building materials.
Health and Safety: Maintain a keen awareness of health and safety protocols at all times, ensuring safe working practices for yourself, colleagues, and customers during deliveries and on site.
Hours of Work: Demonstrate a willingness to work hours as business demands, which may occasionally include flexibility to meet delivery schedules.
Vehicle Checks: Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly to ensure the vehicle remains roadworthy and compliant.
Skills and Experience Required:

HGV Category C (Class 2) Licence: A valid and current HGV Category C driving licence is essential.
Full Driver CPC Licence: You must hold a valid and in-date Driver CPC qualification.
Customer Focus: A positive, polite, and customer-focused attitude is paramount.
Health and Safety Awareness: A strong understanding and commitment to health and safety procedures.
Team Player: Ability to work well within a team and independently.
HIAB Experience (Beneficial): Previous experience operating HIAB equipment would be a significant advantage. However, comprehensive training will be provided to the right candidate who demonstrates the necessary aptitude and commitment.
