The role is a combination of Business Analysis and Project Management – analyzing and understanding details of a project, producing concise but illustrative documentation, and driving/tracking the delivery to full completion.
The candidate will be responsible for delivery of JP Morgan’s algorithmic execution platform for Futures & Options in the Americas. The role will include the following responsibilities:
Responsible for BA/PM functions for the Futures & Options connectivity platform.
Document and communicate full end-to-end requirements for onboarding new venues and trading platforms.
Manage migrations to strategic internal and vendor managed market data and market access platforms.
Deliver detailed plans and specifications to drive overall delivery for the firm’s F&O execution technology.
Partner with internal and external teams for seamless project execution.
Onboard new markets, products, and trading flows for the electronic trading franchise.
Work with the broader electronic trading team to deliver on technology strategy, including but not limited to data center build outs, market data adoption, and connectivity.
Drive weekly status meetings with key stakeholders including trading, product development, and operations.
Work closely with project managers, lead developers and business users to formalize a business idea and define requests.
Interview business users, subject matter experts and Technology resources to elicit requirements. Must be able to ask Why?
Analyze gathered business requirements data, verify business requirements and create functional specifications.
Support the decision process for vendor/build solution options by providing a well defined gap analysis.
Work with Development and QA teams to transition business requirements into their respective parts of the development process.
Work with subject matter experts to produce relevant artifacts e.g. process flow charts, architectural diagrams, and design documents.
May need to create user documentation such as user guides, quick reference guides, and release notes.
The Ideal candidate will:
Be proficient in the Unix operating system.
Have strong knowledge of FIX Messaging.
Be familiar with modern software platforms such as C++, Java, and/or Python.
Have Cash Equities or Futures & Options market knowledge and a strong familiarity with trading, trading workflows, and trading technology is desirable.
Have excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills (writing sample required).
Have a strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
