HGV Class 1 night drivers

Pay

Mon – Fri £17.50ph

Sun £19.00

Min of 8hrs guaranteed

Taskmaster Resources LTD are looking for HGV Class 1 drivers to work for our clients based near Rotherham S66

Working as a team of 2 you will be responsible for delivering parts to RDC’s overnight for deliver the following day. Typically working with another driver or drivers mate dependant on location you will be going too.

When making the delivery you will be working with the other driver/drivers mate using the tail lift and loading the RDC/branch. All the trailers are double deckers so use of them would be advantageous, but not a deal breaker.

Applicants must have the following:

Hold a valid Category C+E (Class 1) HGV/ LGV entitlement.
MINIMUM OF 2 YEAR CLASS 1 EXPERIENCE
Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card (Digi Card).
Have no more than 6 points on your license; DR DD IN endorsements are NOT accepted.
Hold a full CPC.
Be Polite and Pleasant.
Summary:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, utilizing your CE Licence. Your core skills in driving and commercial driving will be essential as you navigate various routes. With relevant experience as a delivery driver, you will ensure timely deliveries and maintain high standards of vehicle safety and compliance. Responsibilities:

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all traffic regulations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
Deliver goods to designated locations, maintaining accurate delivery records.
Handle flatbed loads securely and ensure proper loading and unloading procedures are followed.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to company policies and procedures.
