HGV Class 2 Driver

Due to increasing volumes, we are seeking experienced HGV Class 2 drivers to join our successful team.

The role will include:

· Carrying out daily walk-around checks of the vehicle, raising defects where appropriate.

· Inspect load safety before leaving the depot and request for items to be reloaded if necessary to avoid unnecessary damage and so as to ensure safety.

· Drive the vehicle safely in accordance with the law and company policies at all times and be respectful of other road users.

· Check goods off with delivery sites and obtain signature and print.

· Understand tachographs and drivers hours regulations and comply with them at all times

· Report any accidents as soon as possible in line with the company accident procedure.

· Attend essential training when required

· Nights out may be required in line with the needs of the business

· Provide excellent customer service

· Maintain the cleanliness of the cab

· Assist with yard or other ad-hoc duties in line with the needs of the business
