Waste Management Driver

Staff Recruitment are recruiting for Waste Management Drivers to work in and around the Oldham Borough.
*Induction to be confirmed – Mid September.

Pay and Hours of work:
£10.58 per hour
2-3 days each week, flexibility required upto 5 days.
The start time will be from 7am, working Monday – Friday.

The successful Class 2 Drivers will ideally have refuse experience, and be physically fit (due to the nature of the job).

Duties to include:
Undertake vehicle checks each morning and report any defects.
General and regular maintenance to include checking oil and water levels.
Ensuring that the vehicle is kept clean.
Operate the power mechanism.
Undertake duties as a loader when required*
Supervising duties and responsibility for the crew.
Ensuring that the highest level of customer care is maintained.
Responsibility to protect the safety of self, co-workers and members of the public.

Requirements:
Valid DL Category C+E and/or C licence
Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards
Knowledge of the current transport regulations
Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism
Polite and friendly manner
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
To lead by example
Some loading may be expected to help out the team.
