Core Purpose of the Role:
To lead and manage the STIR business in line with the CB Markets operating strategy, delivering excellent FX Products and Services to Lloyds Banking Group and its clients. To support the continuing growth of the business whilst managing risk effectively
Accountabilities
– Lead and manage the STIR Trading team
– Manage all related risks in accordance with the Bank’s policies, procedures and reporting requirements as well as any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
– Offer consistent and competitive pricing, best execution and risk management in support of the CB Markets FX Strategy, according to best practices and regulatory requirements
– Ensure an appropriate control and conduct framework is established, monitored and adhered to
– Support our client franchise by optimising end-to-end deliverables of FX Products and Services in collaboration with business partners and support functions
– Support the design and analysis of relevant internal MI and KPIs, client analysis and external business intelligence
– Review and analyse key external trends and influences to ensure that a wide range of information is used to support the development of the business
– Support relevant parts of the FX Programme; drive and coordinate prioritisation of deliverables in support of agreed business objectives and project plans
– Lead, motivate, develop and appraise direct reports so that their individual and collective performance is of the required standard and meets the current and future needs of the business
Key Capabilities / Knowledge:
– Proven track record of STIR risk management and market making in G10 (G3 main Focus)
– Experience from Global trading teams, e-commerce and quantitative trading a merit
– Comprehensive knowledge and wide practical experience of relevant products and services within the FX, Rates and Money Market including ability to evaluate various options when matching these to business/customer needs
– Extensive experience in supporting client franchise including corporate and institutional client segments
– Customer and results focused approach
– In-depth knowledge and wide practical experience of relevant procedures, products and services, including interpretation and application of best practices, and the ability to immediately recognise the full range of options when matching these to business/customer needs.
– Detailed knowledge of key relevant legal, regulatory and statutory requirements, technical interpretation and ability to provide advice thereon
– Demonstrates awareness and proactive approach to control and conduct agenda
– A detailed and up-to-date understanding, where appropriate, of the wider financial services industry, regulatory changes and pertinent economic and political factors which may impact on the Group’s business and overall aims
– Proven management and leadership experience with the ability to motivate and lead a team towards achieving common goals; optimises individual and team performance by providing constructive feedback and identifying development needs
– Proven ability to effectively manage stakeholders, build and maintain networks
