Senior Data Analyst
The successful candidate is able to work from Coventry or London.
Duration of contract: 12 months
As a Senior Data Analyst you will support the UK Insurance pricing agenda through data analytics, data extraction and reporting. You will focus on the sourcing and validation of data and the undertaking of regular and ad-hoc analysis, including both project work and ‘business as usual’ tasks. You will be required to prepare information packs, spreadsheets, reports and presentations to stakeholder as required, and will manage relationships across Marketing and Analytics excellence centres to define marketing tests and campaigns.

As a Senior Data Analyst, your main responsibilities will involve:
• Providing insight to the Barclays Insurance business through data extraction and expert analysis, as required by the Head of Pricing and Commercial Director
• Supporting the wider Commercial team by highlighting any issues or opportunities, adding insightful commentary to output
• Conducting complex analysis to identify trends and likely activity in customer behaviour
• Using lifetime value and elasticity models in impact analysis exercises
• Building and maintaining relationships with the wider team and external stakeholders
• Management of risks and compliance with all relevant control frameworks
As a Senior Data Analyst, your skills and qualifications will include:
• Proven experience working with data, including database management, data extraction, manipulation and analysis
• Excellent numeric and analytical skills
• Strong experience using SQL (essential), SAS (desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in pricing analysis and data management, preferably in the Insurance industry
• The ability to work as part of a team and manage relationships, both internally and externally
• Excellent communication skills to ensure messages are presented clearly at all levels
