HGV Class 2 Driver

Job Title: Refrigerated HGV Class 2 Driver (Multi-Drop)

Overall Job Purpose: To safely deliver chilled produce to butchery stores in Devon and Cornwall for our successful client, from their depot in Exeter (Devon) whilst following all necessary road safety laws/rules and regulations accordingly.

Responsible to: Traffic Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities

To safely deliver chilled produce to multiple butchery stores on your route
Carry out required vehicle safety checks accordingly
Safely unloading of cages/boxes/pallets as and when required
Adhere to all HGV road safety rules, laws and regulations always
Adhere to all health and safety rules/regulations set by your employer at every location.
Maintain/Update any required documentation provided
Person Specification

You must be prepared for; Sapphire Recruitment, to ask your permission to complete a full DVLA licence check, prior to putting you forward to our client for consideration
Previous experience with refrigerated multi-drop deliveries using a tail lift preferred
Be comfortable with the unloading of chilled produce from a refrigerated vehicle (Raw Meats)
Work well as an individual or as part of a dedicated team
Be professional, friendly and display excellent customer service skills
Demonstrate excellent punctuality and reliability
Have a good geographical knowledge of road networks within the UK
Be able to safely follow; road maps/directions/satellite navigation systems (If and when provided)
Qualifications and Certification

Full HGV Class 2 Licence (With no more than 6 penalty points)
Valid Digital Tacho Card
Valid CPC Card
Have a minimum of 2 years HGV Class 2 driving experience
Additional Information

Type of Employment: Temporary on going shift for every Wednesday

Shift Days/Hours: (Wednesday) -You must be flexible to start your shift between the hours of 05.00-05.30 – You will be guaranteed a minimum of 8hrs each shift.

Location: Exeter, Devon

Remuneration: £10.50ph – £11.40ph DOE
