R&W Environmental maintain a fleet of 215 vehicles, ranging from IPVs, Tractor units, Tippers, Grab Lorries, Beavertails, Volumetric mixers and commercial vans. We cover work in the South, South East and South West, based from Dibden and Winchester, Hampshire.

Duties will include:
Working closely with Transport Manager to ensure:

Responsible for keeping clients fleets of trucks and trailers compliant with O License regulations
Full servicing and repairs of commercial vehicles
Some diagnostics (training provided)
The efficient and timely diagnosis of standard faults and ensure underlying problems are resolved
Carrying out pre-MOT work as and when required
Road testing and fault finding
Working to deadlines to ensure that work is completed on time

Requirements:
Experience in the repair and maintenance of heavy and light commercial vehicles.
An HGV license 1 or 2 would be a distinct advantage
Driver CPC
Formally qualified to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) in vehicle repair & maintenance preferred
Own tools if preferred, Workshop tools also provided
Accurate record keeping essential
Good communications skills
Will be required to be on call out of hours one week a month
Must be able to work using own initiative

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
