RMF Construction are looking for a class 2 beavertail driver to start with us with immediate effect please.

They need 2 years minimum experience driving class two and have experience with ratchet straps and chains for securing heavy groundworks equipment and plant.

Job Summary

The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies.

Responsibilities

Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload goods onto flatbed trailers, ensuring proper securing of cargo for safe transport.
Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery times while considering road conditions and potential delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transit.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road.
Adhere to company policies regarding safety protocols and customer service standards.
Qualifications

Valid Commercial Driving Licence (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
Good physical fitness as the role involves loading and unloading cargo.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
