Ramage Transport have vacancies for HGV Class 1 Day Shift Distance Drivers.

The role of the HGV Driver involves loading, delivering and collecting palletised goods to and from the customer sites in a timely and professional manner whilst driving responsibly and safely within the law at all times.

Applicants applying for the role of HGV Driver should have/be:

Experience working within an HGV driving role loading, delivering and collecting goods from customers sites
Class 1 driving licence, Driver CPC with a minimum of 35 hours completed and valid Digital Tachograph card
Ensure trailers are loaded in a safe and secure manner
Complete daily defect sheets for vehicles and trailers
Follow all company operational procedures
Comply with the requirements of legislation and operating procedures relating to the use of drivers hours and working time directive.
An understanding of Health & Safety protocols and the ability to follow these guidelines in the workplace
Excellent customer service skills and strong attention to detail

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
