Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Responsibilities

Operate flatbed lorries in compliance with all traffic regulations and safety standards.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload goods safely, ensuring proper handling of cargo to prevent damage.
Plan routes effectively to optimise delivery schedules and minimise delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents during transport.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise during transit.
Adhere to company policies and procedures while representing the organisation professionally at all times.
Skills

Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
Familiarity with flatbed lorry operations and loading techniques is highly desirable.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
Good communication skills for liaising with team members and clients.
Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
