Class 1 Drivers Required in Newcastle-under-Lyme

31787 per annum

Based on 44-hour week over 4 days.

Longer days in peak and poss. extra days per week (Winter Dec to March)

Shorter days in summer off peak

Overtime when not in peak is paid over 44 hours @ £13.89

Nights out paid at £40 per night

The role will include:

Ensuring goods are safely secured
Comply with both HGV tacho driving rules and regulations as well as company guidelines
Daily vehicle checks and minor maintenance i.e. bulbs/oil/coolant etc
Submission of paperwork /transfer notes/fuel receipts in a timely manner
Working with the transport team to ensure efficient route planning
Log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
Keeping vehicle in good condition HGV Class 1 (C+E)

Essential Skills Required

LGV Class C+E licence
Ownership of a digital Tachograph Card
Driver certificate of Professional Competency
Regular driving of LGV’s.
Fluent in English: Constant communication with colleagues and customers
Excellent communication skills
Ability to comply with legislation
