HGV C+E Required urgently for store deliveries and trunking in Newport (Magor).

Pure staff are looking for experienced C+E drivers to work alongside one of our clients in the Bristol (Avonmouth) area.

Pure staff are one of the fastest growing agents locally with an experienced team of consultants to advise & provide a constant workflow.

Our client operates the transport function for a (well-known) Branded retail outlet.

They currently require ongoing C+E to work with their current team. This job is longer term with some candidates being offered ongoing weekend contracts.

The job itself will consist of stores deliveries, 2 drops normally per shift or a trunk route.

Distribution is completed in an Articulated lorry, with various trailers available from doble decked curtain sider to box body 40ft.

Trunk routes are just that and there will be no handball on them but you will need to ensure that the load is strapped. Store deliveries can be cages or pallets and there will be some handball but this is not excessive.

Our Clients are looking for a candidate that can not only drive C+E Articulated lorry successfully but that can communicate well to ensure that all deliveries / trailer swaps are completed.

There is a stop call wait procedure to maximise on productivity and keep drivers informed on possible delays or route changes.

This can be a customer facing role so the perfect candidate will be of smart appearance with a polite nature, you will need to show willingness to give that little extra to ensure our clients stores personnel have the best experience interaction with the driver as possible.

Start times can vary but normally between 03:00am and 10:00am on Days & 14:00 to 19:00 on nights, shifts can be long hours but in keeping with tachograph law up to 10 to 12 hr per shift on average.

You will require;

HGV C+E Driving licence
6 months C+E experience is preferred
CPC Card
Digital card
Clean Licence preferred with no more than 6 points (no TT TS MS DR DD) codes
Pay;

Days : C+E Driver £18 per hour PAYE

Nights : C+E Driver £19 per hour PAYE

£22.00 Saturday per hour PAYE Both Days and Nights

£22.00 Bank holidays and Sunday per hour PAYE Both Days and Nights

NO Limited Company Contractors

We do not roll the holiday pay into the rate so holiday will be paied seprately to all rates quoated.
