About the role

We’re looking for a qualified and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver who shares our values and wants to be part of a team where professionalism, safety and commitment to quality service are at the heart of everything we do.

As a valued member of our Transport Team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and professional delivery of goods across the UK, supporting both our customers and our reputation.

Your Role

As a valued member of our transport team, you will be responsible for the timely and safe delivery of goods to customers, ensuring excellent service and compliance with all transport regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Collect and deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on time.
Ensure all loads are correct and properly secured in line with delivery notes.
Operate tachographs and maintain accurate records in line with regulations.
Comply with UK road laws, transport legislation, and Prima’s safety procedures.
Accurately complete delivery documentation and communicate effectively with the Transport Team.
Operate all vehicle systems, including refrigeration.
Represent Prima in a professional, respectful, and customer-focused manner at all times.

What you’ll bring

Valid Class 1 HGV license
Up to date CPC and digital tachograph card
Clean and safe driving record
Knowledge of UK road laws and transport compliance
Reliable, responsible, and motivated to uphold high standards
Excellent communicator with strong attention to details
Able to work independently
High level of responsibility and initiative

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
