Job Summary
Based at Woolpit. Duties to include driving articulated trailers and draw bar vehicles with demountable bodies. Trunking quality Laura Ashley furniture to our Leicestershire Distribution Centre .Generally all runs are repeat routes with regular finish times.
Basic hours 37.5 per week with overtime (not guaranteed), average 48 hours per week. Working Monday to Friday, usual start time approx 7.00 – 8.00pm.
Rate of pay: £13.09 per hour (includes night shift allowance). Overtime paid at £15.10 per hour after initial 37.5 hours have been worked. Four-weekly paid, average earnings £649 per week (48 hour week).
Full clean LGV1 driving licence preferred.Full uniform, 4 weekly pay, stake holder pension scheme, and excellent discount on Laura Ashley goods.

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.
We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator's Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won't spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
