Job Title: HGV Tanker Driver and Operative

Location: Eastleigh, Hampshire

Contract: Full-time, 45 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

We are a well-established waste management company located in Dunsfold, Surrey. Our team is committed to maintaining high standards of service and safety, and we are currently seeking a dedicated HGV Tanker Driver and Operative based in Eastleigh to join our growing team.

Job Description:

As an HGV Tanker Driver and Operative, you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation and disposal of sewage. Your responsibilities will include driving and operating heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely operate HGV tankers to collect and transport sewage.
Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting on vehicles and equipment.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
About You:

Must possess a valid HGV Class 2 licence and CPC (preferred).
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the waste management or sewage industry.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
Excellent problem-solving, communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A positive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour as required.

Salary starting at £33,600 with the opportunity to earn £10,000-15,000 per year in overtime and the company pipe bonus scheme.
Regular working hours (45 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 07.00-16.00), and working 1 in approximately 7 weekends on call.
Weekend on call retainer bonus of £75 and an additional bonus of £50 per emergency when called out from your home.
£250 monthly draw for 100% attendance and a holiday bonus
