Job Description
TRANSPORT MANAGER

Pertemps Crawley are working behalf of a leading Redhill-based distributor committed to delivering exceptional customer service and providing reliable solutions to our clients, looking for a FORS (Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme) Accredited Transport Manager with a proven track record in managing complex logistics operations in the bustling environment of London.

The Role:Develop and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
Utilize routing software and real-time tracking to improve efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
Oversee and manage a fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and meet FORS standards.
Implement preventive maintenance schedules and coordinate timely repairs.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including FORS requirements, HGV regulations, and other legal standards.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize accidents and incidents
Lead and motivate a team of drivers and logistics staff to achieve operational goals.
Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team’s skills and awareness of safety protocols
Collaborate with the customer service team to address customer inquiries and resolve any issues related to transportation services.
Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient and reliable service.

The Person:FORS Accreditation is mandatory – Preferably Silver or Gold
Proven experience as a Transport Manager in a high-volume logistics environment, preferably in London.
In-depth knowledge of HGV regulations and transportation laws.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in route optimization software and transportation management systems.

Salary of up to £45,000 (dependent on relevant experience) and working hours of 8 – 5 (flexibility required)
