Are you seeking a reliable, full- or part-time opportunity that allows you flexible start times and flexible shift patterns while enjoying competitive rates of pay? Look no further! Pertemps is pleased to announce multiple openings for Class 1 C+E drivers based at GXO in Newark.

What will I be doing?

You’ll be transporting electrical goods to Curry’s stores and warehouses around the country. If you are working day shifts you will be delivering to stores but you will not be expected to tip or unload the goods, however you might need to move the stock with a pump truck, so the staff are able to safely unload the items!
If you are wanting to work night shifts this work is easy trunking work to regional distribution centres. You will be required to reverse on to a bay then wait while being tipped before returning to the depot.

Before You Hit the Road:
You’ll need to complete a paid Class 1 site assessment/induction (8 hours total) which will include a multiple-choice quiz on WTD and general know-how, pre-checks and coupling up, followed by a road driving assessment. Once this has been completed you will then be required to complete the rest of the day in the classroom carrying out your induction.

How much will I be paid?

Monday to Friday AM Shifts: £18.19ph
Monday to Friday PM Shifts: £19.21ph
Saturday: £20.23/hr
Sunday: £21.25/hr

Requirements:
Experience driving Class 1 (HGV 1) for a minimum of 2 years
Valid Digital Tachograph card and CPC qualification
Clean driving record (no DR10, CD10, IN10, and no more than 6 points)
Must be 21 or older
