Class 1 Driver

Working any days Monday to Sunday. Days 03:00 – 08:00 starts Nights 15:00 – 20:00 starts.

Pay: £14 per hour to £19 per hour

People Solutions are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to add to our current team of ad hoc drivers, this role will be to cover ad hoc shifts for various Clients within Wakefield and surrounding areas.

This role would be perfect for someone who is looking to work on a part time basis.

Day to Day Duties

Be prepared for various shift lengths.
Operate different trailer types.
Comply with driving rules and laws.
Ensure unit is well presented at all times.
Be prepared to use a tail lift.
Complete various runs including store deliveries and trunk runs.
Ensure you load is secured correctly.
Be available for ASAP starts.
Essential Skills

Hold a valid UK C+E licence.
Have at least 12 months experience driving C+E vehicles.
No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
Have an in-date UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card.
Experience operating various trailer types.
Data on your tacho card from the last 60 days.
Be prepared for handball.
Good time keeping.
Good communication skills.
Positive ‘Can do’ attitude.
Desirable Experience

Experience working on an ad hoc basis is desirable but not essential.
