Job Title: HGV Road Maintenance Operative (HGV Class 1 licence required)

Location: Office in Honiton (however work is field-based across South West so flexible on location)

Salary: £32,000

Hours: Permanent, full time.Alternating patterns of 7am-3pm, then 3pm-11pm (when the roads are quieter)

Description: You will be the driver of the works vehicle in this physically demanding role, and part of the friendly, close-knit blockage avoidance team, aiming to support with the roll out of the fibre cable laying. Assisting and undertaking works on the gully sucker, ensuring everything is done in an efficient and safe manner.

Reporting to the Civil Avoidance Supervisor, your duties will include:
Driving the gully sucking vehicle or jetting trailers
Rod and rope pulling the fibre cable throughout the network
Ensuring works are completed safely and in line with business expectations, and feeding back to Supervisor when needed
Help provide solutions on issued sections of the PIA (Physical Infrastructure Access).
Strive to achieve personal, team and company KPI’s and objectives in line with the company’s performance incentive payment

Your qualifications & experience:
Class 1 essential
Full valid driving licence
A background in a manual role – construction/engineering/telecoms/military
CSCS Card (desired)
