Role: Class 2 HGV Driver – Skips

Location: Newcastle

Hours: 40-50 hours per week with overtime options available

Rate of Pay: £14.04 per hour

Overtime Rate of Pay: £21.06 per hour (paid after 8 hours or on unscheduled working days)

What Will You Be Doing?

As an HGV Driver in our Skip division, your responsibilities will include:

Collecting and delivering skips to and from various customer sites.
Operating your vehicle safely and efficiently on pre-planned routes.
Delivering outstanding customer service, acting as the face of NWH to our clients.
Working independently while being part of a supportive, high-performing team.
What Are We Looking For?

A full, valid Class 2 (Category C) HGV licence held for at least 12 months.
Valid CPC entitlement and Digital Tachograph card.
Good knowledge of road networks.
A maximum of 6 points or less on your licence (No DR, DD, CD, or IN codes).
Excellent command of the English language and good customer service skills.
Previous experience in skip and hook operations is preferred but not essential – we provide comprehensive training.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
