HGV Class 1 C+E Drivers Required

Multistaff has gained a new contract in the Gloucester area and require HGV Class 1 C+E drivers to join our extensive team of flexible employees, working with a large blue chip 3PL that distributes drinks for 2 major brands.

Our client is looking for HGV Class 1 C+E drivers to join their team on on-going contracts. This well-known company is offering a comprehensive package to suitable candidates.

You will be working in a team of drivers that work on 3 different types of route structures these include.

trunking route’s to RDC, NDC and CDC’s for major retail outlets across the UK.
shuttles (long distance shunts) between manufacturing and holding sites, this is all bay work with no H/Ball
Multidrop this could be a maximum of 3 drops to RDC, NDC or CDC. This is the same as the trunking job but for multiple locations but with less distance covered.
Please note that you will be expected to do a combination of the routes and can’t just do the trunking.

Please be aware for insurance purposes , suitable candidates will require full inductions prior to starting the role. You will be driving a curtain side HGV Class 1 C+E vehicle Normally a Mercedes Actros, MAN, or a DAF.

These vehicles are always well maintained to minimise cancellations or VOR.

Shift lengths can be long but in keeping with tachograph law start times can vary but normal start times would be between 04:00am & 08:00am.

You will Require.

UK Driving Licence with HGV C+E entitlement.
Valid UK Digital Card
Valid UK CPC Card
Experience as a C+E Driver is required with a minimum 1year driving experience for insurance reasons.
Clean Licence with No penalty points and no DD, DR, TT, or CU offences showing.
Pay:

Days £14.25 per hour PAYE Monday to Friday

Days overtime £17.00 per hour PAYE Monday to Friday applicable after working 45 hours.

Nights £15.50 per hour PAYE Monday to Friday

Nights overtime £18.00 per hour PAYE Monday to Friday applicable after working 45 hours.

Weekends Days

Saturday £19.50 Per hour PAYE

Sunday £24.00 Per hour PAYE

Weekends Nights

Saturday £21.00 Per hour PAYE

Sunday £25.00 Per hour PAYE
