HGV Class 1 Driver Part Time

THIS IS A TEMP TO PERMANENT POSITION – MINIMUM 3 MONTHS CONTRACT

Very clean work with no loading / unloading expected.

Location: Merrington Lane Industrial Estate, Spennymoor Depot – DL16 7XL

You would have to:

Flexibility required re. start times, generally start times are between 20.00 and 00.00
Ensure you complete daily vehicle checks to make sure your vehicle is roadworthy and safe to use
Ensure you arrive at your job on time, informing the traffic office of any issues
Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code
Maintain all health and safety standards
Complete all deliveries and collections as manifested
Comply with all tachograph and WTD regulations
Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy
Your knowledge and experience:

Valid C+E Class 1 license with no more than six penalty points as well as no DD, DR or IN endorsements
Driver CPC card with no current suspension or revocation
UK Digital Tachograph Card
Right to work in the UK
English language skills for safety
Willing to undergo a Background Check and Drug and Alcohol test
1 year driving experience preferred

To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it).
