More recruitment is working along side a client based in Peterborough, experienced class 1 drivers needed days and also weekend work, it will be one of a few jobs including…. shunting/trunking but can also be store deliveries – will be provided with a manual pump truck so handball will be involved but is ongoing work for the right candidate.

You will need to pass an assessment which will be part theory and part driving, if you pass you will be offered ongoing work with our client.

Start times:
Days between 03:00 and 06:00

PAY:

Limited – Days Monday to Friday £19

Saturday £20

Sunday £23

Duties

Operate lorries in accordance with road safety regulations.
Plan and follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries.
Load and unload goods, ensuring securement of cargo during transit.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any faults or issues.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs.
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
Adhere to all health and safety protocols during operations, including compliance with legal driving hours.
Requirements

Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience.
Valid driving licence with 2 years experience.
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading and unloading cargo.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
Excellent communication skills and a professional attitude towards clients and colleagues.
