HGV / FLT Driver / Driver Trainer
Falkirk, Scotland
Base salary: £43,195 per annum
Meal allowance: £1035 per annum
Annual earnings: £44,230 + overtime + benefits

We are currently recruiting for an HGV / FLT Driver to join the team at our Falkirk site. This is a varied position, working onsite loading and unloading, as well as delivering our products to customers safely and efficiently. We would also love it if you have some previous Driver Trainer experience and could help to support in keeping our Drivers up to date with the ongoing required training.

The vehicles you could be driving will be a mix of articulated crane vehicles, drawbar crane vehicles, rigid crane vehicles, and forklift trucks.

What else does the mission include?
You’ll be the face of Marshalls, delivering customer orders to building sites and homes in the region. You will put the customer at the heart of everything you do, with a positive and can-do attitude.

Operating a remote control HIAB Crane, you will securely load and unload products as well as move around the site to achieve daily loading and delivery schedules.

You will maintain the vehicles to a high standard, adhering to health and safety policies at all times, and work closely with the logistics team to achieve fantastic customer satisfaction.

What are the mission-critical skills?

An HGV Class 1 license with no more than 6 points and hold a current Driver CPC card.
Forklift licence and ideally experience but not essential.
Previous experience of driver training
Excellent English communication and writing skills
A good team player and a keen eye for detail
Willingness to be flexible about occasional overtime is essential
An understanding of yard and despatch operations, coupled with product knowledge.
Experience in operating HIAB / Palfinger roll loader/fixed-mounted cranes is desirable but not essential as full training is provided.

For the right candidate, we will provide crane training through ALLMI (Association of Lorry Loaders Manufacturers and Importers).
