HGV Class 1 Driver tramper

Experienced HGV Class 1 Tramper Drivers wanted to join our team here at Longs of Leeds, working Monday to Saturday* with nights out (*we do also have other shift patterns available if preferred – so please just ask).

Ideally, you will be experienced in general haulage work – with the delivery of palletised goods, ambient foods as well as timber and paper being our typical loads – specific load training can be provided if needed.

Successful applicants will need:

Full UK Driving Licence with C+E entitlement
Digital tachograph card
Driver qualification card (CPC)
Proven work experience as a Class 1 HGV driver
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of Road Transport & Working Time rules and regulations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)
Flexible approach – you may be required to drive all classes of LGV/HGV vehicles.

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
