The team here at Longs of Leeds are looking for experienced Class 1 Trampers to join the team, working Monday to Saturday with nights out.
You will be experienced in general haulage – with the delivery of palletised goods, ambient foods as well as timber and paper being our typical loads.
We pride ourselves on our customer service therefore a personable, approachable individual would fit right in!
Successful applicants will need:
Full UK Driving Licence with C+E entitlement
Digital tachograph card
Driver qualification card (CPC)
Proven work experience as a Class 1 HGV driver
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Extensive knowledge of Road Transport & Working Time rules and regulations
Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
Flexible approach – you may be required to drive all classes of LGV/HGV vehicles.

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.
We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator's Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won't spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
