About Us

Lindum Plant is a division of Lindum Group; a family and employee-owned construction business with 600 employees. Our plant team services all our construction sites, as well as our many local external customers including DIY, local and regional builders, agriculture, arborist/landscaper, events, house builders and construction sub-contractors. The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 HGV Driver to join our Team in Lincoln, supporting both our Plant Hire and Aggregate Teams. From our North Hykeham base, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting plant and machinery as well as operating our bulk aggregate tippers for deliveries to our construction sites, across Lincolnshire and the surrounding areas.

We are seeking a relief driver who will be retained on a flexible ‘as required’ contract to cover holidays and sickness within the plant and aggregate delivery teams. The opportunity would suit a candidate looking for occasional short-term work and offers mutual flexibility, with hours offered with notice for planned holiday leave and additional runs during busy times, as well as shorter notice when covering sickness and unexpected absence.

Shifts will usually be between the hours of 7.00am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday (although occasional earlier starts or later finishes are sometimes required, as well as Saturdays on more rare occasions, with enhanced rates of pay for both).

Requirements

You must have a full driving licence with Category C entitlement and Driver CPC. Any points or endorsements are subject to acceptance by our motor insurance policy provider. Experience within the plant hire, waste or construction industry is an advantage although not essential as familiarisation training will be provided.
