Due to an expanding fleet, LCS Transport Ltd are hiring for an HGV Lorry Mounted Crane Operator.

As an HGV Lorry Mounted Crane Operator at LCS Transport Ltd, you will be responsible for executing a variety of transportation and delivery services, ranging from delivering containers and building materials to signage, using various lifting equipment to ensure safe and secure deliveries to a variety of sites across the UK.

Our services cover a wide array of needs, and your role will be essential in ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods. This position offers a competitive salary, an average of 35 hours per week, and additional benefits such as a generous ‘night out’ subsistence of £30.00 per night and opportunities to expand your own skillset, as well as operating Volvo, DAF and Scania vehicles with lorry mounted cranes.

Key Responsibilities:

Must be able to follow current legislation on EU Drivers Hours rules, working time directive and have undertaken up to date training.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and the crane to ensure that they are in proper working order.

Operation of Palfinger, Fassi and PM cranes to successfully deliver a range of goods across the UK.

Maintain accurate and up to date paperwork of delivery PODs, vehicle check sheets, timesheets and any other required paperwork.

Secure loads properly and safely for transport, adhering to relevant safety standards and procedures.

Must have an up to date and valid ALLMI Card, valid CPC, driver card and experience in driving rigid vehicles with draw-bar trailer operation and articulated vehicles.

Experience:
Previous experience in operating lorry mounted cranes is necessary.

Be comfortable communicating via telephone and face-to-face and the capability to deal with a variety of customers from different industries.

A strong work ethic with the ability to work well independently and within a team.

Skills:
Strong time management and organisational skills.
Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
Must be able to communicate in a helpful, courteous and polite manner at all times to staff and our valued customers.

Licenses and Certifications:
Must have an up to date and valid ALLMI Card, valid CPC, driver card and experience in driving rigid vehicles with draw-bar trailer operation.

Valid UK driving license.
Valid ALLMI Card, CPC and driver card.

Experience with operating lorry mounted cranes is paramount.

Additional Information:
Competitive Salary: Based on experience.
Hours: Average of 35 hours per week.
Availability: Must be available to work Monday to Friday and flexibility to work weekends when required.
