Kerry Logistics are looking for an experienced LGV Driver based in Bradford. The candidate must have a C+E licence, 2 years experience, container and warehouse experience.

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE(S) OF THE ROLE:

LGV drivers are an integral part of the aims and goals of Kluk, They must provide a first class service to our customers as in some circumstance they are the only face to face contact the customer has with Kluk. They are responsible to make sure Kluk are not put at risk from Vosa, HSE and Criminals.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE:

Financial/Commercial

Comply with company policy in reducing costs by management of fuel saving/accident damage.
Operational

Responsible for the effective delivery, collection, inspection and checking of the load in accordance with the procedures and instructions prepared by the transport team.
Liaise with the transport office to identify the daily activity requirements.
Inspect all loads and security tags that they correspond with accompanying paperwork.
You will be expected to comply with the policies set down by the transport dept ref the Goods vehicle safety policy, company code of conduct and the company operating procedures.
Driving may not only be limited to class 1 but all categories that you are qualified for.
The effective completion of all paperwork tacho’s, Pod’s, delivery notes and accident claim forms etc.
Drivers are expected to be flexible in their approach to work e.g. early starts, night time work, nights away from base, drivers are to inform the transport office of the likelihood of any infringements they might incur with a set plan of work.
Drivers must under no circumstances exceed the driving hour regulations or any other driving regulations.
Driver are expected to assist in the w/house were training will be given.
Drivers will be given on going training to enhance their ability and improve the company’s expertise; they are to give the training their full attention.
Drivers are the forefront of the business and are responsible for presenting the company image. Therefore drivers must at all times conduct themselves in a manor which reflects the quality image of Kluk; Drivers must ensure that they are well presented, clothed in the uniform provided, and that the vehicles are kept clean and tidy at all times.
