Skip Driver (HGV Licence)

J W Waste Recycling Ltd are recruiting an Chain lift Skip Driver to join a friendly team in a fast paced, customer focused waste management business, based south of Bath. This is a permanent role offering competitive pay. The successful candidate will also have access to free car parking on site.

This is a varied role, primarily driving one of our fleets skip trucks across our area and further afield, and liaising with the office and yard as necessary. Skip sizes between 2 yard to 12 yard.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

To drive and operate waste collection vehicles, primarily one of our fleets chain lift skip lorries, with effective safe and efficient driving techniques in line with company requirements.
Assist in the provision of effective skip collections and disposal service across various locations, observing health & safety requirements and being responsible for the safety of crew, equipment, self and members of the public.
Ensuring the highest possible standard of service is consistently provided to customers.
There will be approximately 6 + skips per day that will need to be either exchanged, collected or removed. We also have Roll on roll off skips that can sometimes be tipped and returned.
Experience in driving and operating of Skip lorries is necessary to join a fast friendly moving team.
Requirements:

HGV Licence
You must have driving experience along with the ability to converse well over the telephone with customers.
Able to follow and adhere to company regulations and health and safety rules.
You must be able to represent the business in the appropriate manor.
Have a good work ethic.
Have effective time management skills.

Salary: £11.50 per hour

CONTRACT HAULAGE WORK AVAILABLE ALL YEAR ROUND FOR OWNER-DRIVERS AND FLEET OWNERS WITH RIGID OR ARTICULATED VEHICLES.

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
