We’re looking for a self-motivated information security Junior Risk and Assurance Analyst who can help our team identify and mitigate security risks for a rapidly growing company. Our core product is a two-sided marketplace where we connect small businesses looking for funding with investors via our scalable online platform. Our engineering team is the driving force behind our marketplace business model and is integral to building a sustainable and scalable infrastructure. It is our competitive advantage and core to our business – if we can’t excel at it then the model doesn’t work. This is where you come in!

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Risk and Assurance Analyst who can collaborate across the business to help our teams understand the importance of security, and who understands how security impacts all aspects of our enterprise. This role will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, an analytical mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively to be a security evangelist to a diverse audience. You don’t have to be a security guru to join our team, but you will need to be passionate about learning more about security and risk!
Bird’s eye view of the role:
- Be a builder: you’ll help to maintain our security risk register and assurance programme around our security standards.
- Be a team player: you’ll provide support to the organization to deliver our security training and awareness initiatives and complete supplier assurance assessments across the company.
- Be a collaborator: you’ll support the Risk and Assurance team to cooperate with all parts of the business, to help us meet regulatory obligations and investor requirements.
Our ideal candidate has:
- 1* years experience in information security or recently graduated with an IT Security degree
- Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, OWASP, and other cybersecurity standards/ best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with or exposure to security audits and due diligence requests
- Experience with managing security documentation such as policies

Some more things:
- This role is based out of the UK but may involve some travel to our other global sites, so you’ll be working with teams across our San Francisco, London and Berlin offices
- Must have a strong willingness to learn and develop their security knowledge and skills.
