Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver specialising in Low Loader operations to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivering specialised loads using flatbed and low loader trailers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for drivers committed to safety, punctuality, and high standards of service delivery.

Duties

Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles with low loader attachments, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and trailer to maintain compliance with safety regulations.
Deliver goods to various locations across the region, adhering strictly to scheduled times and routes.
Secure loads appropriately using suitable equipment, ensuring the safety of cargo during transit.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding progress or issues.
Comply with all legal requirements, including tachograph regulations, driving hours, and road safety standards.
Assist with loading and unloading when necessary, ensuring proper handling of all cargo.
Qualifications

Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed or low loader trailers.
Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism on the road.
Knowledge of current road transport legislation and safety standards.
Ability to operate flatbed equipment safely and efficiently.
Good organisational skills, with the ability to plan routes effectively and manage time efficiently.
Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally. This role is ideal for experienced drivers seeking a challenging position that values safety, punctuality, and specialised transport expertise within a supportive team environment.

£50 per week bonus

Looking for a HGV Class 1 driver which will involve a mixture of Low loaders and flat bed work. Experience would be preferred and a knowledge of Farm machinery and plant machines would be an advantage. Must be able to adapt to other types of work in quiet periods. Nights out involved.
