Full job description
We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Planner and Supervisor to join our growing team at our Head Office in Elstree, Hertfordshire.

Sititng within a 24 hour control team, you will be responsible for the daily planning of both drivers and vehicles, as well as the oversight of live service delivery. The company is responsible for operating 62 vehicles across 3 depots in North West London and we have a team of approximately 100 drivers both full and part time. Our Head office is located in a business park in Elstree, near Watford, and is responsible for managing these vehicles out on the road day-to-day. We as a company complete a wide range of coach hire services, for customers in Business, Education, Tourism, Government and Sports Teams.

This would be an ideal role for someone from the same or similar background (HGV / chauffeur / Airline / Bus / etc). Candidates with Road transport experience (PSV or HGV) will be preferred due to their understanding of EU Drivers’ Hours and commercial vehicle restrictions.

Your role will be 4 days on / 4 days off covering approximately 06:00 – 18:00. Out of hours on your working days, you may need to take emergency calls from the control team.

Experience of working with computers / IT systems and having good written and verbal English is a requirement for this role. We are looking for someone with very good communication skills as they will be dealing with drivers and customers on a daily basis. You should be a natural problem solver and equally able to work solo and as part of a team.
