The role

The Waste Management Team are looking for motivated people to join the street cleansing team to help keep the streets and open spaces of Gravesham free of rubbish, litter and graffiti.To drive HGV Mechanical Sweeper

Duties include, street sweeping, litter picking, emptying of dog/litter bins, the clearance of dumped rubbish and collection of refuse/recycling. Applicants will need to flexible in the duties that they perform.

Main responsibilities

Undertake a range of specialist tasks including:

Driving left hand HGV Mechanical Sweeper.

Manual sweeping

Litter picking

Other Street Cleansing duties

Essential qualifications/experience-

Full Clean Category C HGV Driving Licence

Up to date CPC Card

To be able to work independently or as part of a team

Ability to prioritise tasks

Good communication skills

Experience of manual outdoor work

Desirable qualifications/experience-

Previous experience in this field
