Description
Global Security & Investigations protects the firm’s employees and assets throughout the world. This responsibility includes the development of security and safety policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative compliance, security guard management and alarm response, crisis management, corporate building security and customer/visitor/client safety, physical crime investigations, workplace violence, fire and life safety, executive protection, pre-employment screening, security operations on a global basis, and fraud Investigations.
The position is based at 25 Bank Street, London and includes a rotational shift pattern including 12 hour shifts on both day and night shifts.
This position includes the day to day management of the EMEA portfolio of buildings, the direction, coordination and implementation of security procedures, incident handling, crisis management and technical systems.
Role Overview:
As an ECC Analyst, your primary role is to ensure the effective management of incidents within the EMEA region, inclusive, but not exhaustive of; building incidents at JPM sites, natural disasters, high profile incidents including terrorist attacks and major disasters. The role of the ECC is to provide a single source of information from corporate support functions and Lines of Business (LOB) to be communicated to senior management during incidents of a severe nature with major impact, and to provide a single all hazard operational framework to assess, respond, and recover from a crisis. The ECC’s primary function is to reduce the risk and impact of a disruption that may have an effect on the continuity of JPMorgan Chase business, safety of its employees, Firm’s reputation, continuity of delivery of its products and services to its clients, and the safety of its assets and those of its clients using effective communication, teamwork, coordination, assessment and decision-making. In addition, this process will ensure consistent communication is provided globally to corporate executives, employees, customers, media, government, and regulatory agencies. Ensure appropriate representation of every major LOB and support area during Crisis Management Team activity at all levels. This process is meant to enhance and complement specific LOB and support area crisis management procedures, such as the PAC process.
Key Responsibilities:
The Command Centre Analyst will work as part of a 24/7/365 team in the London based European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Command centre, providing intelligence analysis, crisis management and monitoring support to JP Morgan Chase Bank across the EMEA region.
The ECC Analyst will have a strong knowledge and interest in Geo-Political issues and Security affairs across EMEA with the initiative to rapidly assess events and incidents within the region for the potential to impact client locations and business travellers across the Region.
Triage incidents on the Bank’s estate, arrange and lead assessment Bridge Calls with Real Estate, Business and Technology stakeholders.
Take responsibility for ensuring all relevant JP Morgan Chase (JPMC) staff are aware of planned activity that may impact their core business. This may be global, national or local events and may consist of national conventions, protests or strikes, or other events that could impact on their normal business.
Proactively gather, monitor, research and analyse open source and subscribed intelligence sources to provide ECC and Global Security and Investigations (GS&I) management with updated forward-facing activity, analysing the impact which that activity may have on JPMC business.
Respond to relevant alarm activity to ensure that JPMC core business continues. Activate escalation response where the impact is judged to affect that business utilising appropriate contacts within JPMC.
In cases of need, EMEA ECC Analyst is to take on responsibility of other CC Analysts across the other regions (Americas and Asia Pacific) to ensure business continuity is maintained.
Monitor and administer travel security operations in accordance with procedures; including traveler tracking, the arrangement of secure escorts, assisting and advising international travellers on security issues across the Region.
Facilitate Crisis Management procedures by:
Initiating EMEA Command conference ‘bridge’ calls using bespoke communication systems.
Monitor and support both site-specific and regional crisis management conference calls, gathering and providing intelligence and information (weather, travel, security etc) as required.
Maintain and update Crisis Management capabilities and systems (GENT, JPMC Assist etc).
To carry out any other duties or projects as directed by ECC Manager.Requirements
A strong desire to work in GS&I with investigative instinct and an analytical mind-set are absolutely essential.
The candidate must possess: (i.) initiative and judgment; (ii.) the ability to prioritise conflicting demands, organise one’s agenda and work under pressure; (iii.) the relationship management skills to deal with management and build partnerships with other departments; (iv.) the ability to work in teams and the readiness to share knowledge; (v.) good oral and written communication skills; and (vi.) intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
