RECOVERY TECHNICIAN

Salary : Negotiable according to experience and qualifications. Monthly basic pay exceeds £2,500.00 Annual Pay includes rota overtime £26,000 to 35,000

HOURS :

Full time appointment : Notional 37 1/2 per week – times as described on recovery rota
.Breaks to be taken when convenient mid-shift according to drivers regulations.

Weekend and Bank Holiday duties are essential via rota.

Part time appointment can be available:
Weekend work – Saturday and Sunday inclusive ……to be negotiated

Also …….Night time work available via negotiation

Purpose of job

To provide a comprehensive service to the garage and recovery business,

in particular – a safe, timely and effective repair and recovery service to customers.

Repairing and recovering vehicles on the highway as necessary. A roadside repair, where a safe and possible to do so, is the optimum outcome for stranded vehicles. Where this cannot be done the vehicle must be safely and securely lifted and transported to the required destination using specialist equipment provided on our specialist recovery vehicles. Training in the use of such vehicles and equipment is done as part of induction into the business. Maintaining the Glendinning fleet vehicles and their equipment in a safe condition. Liaising with the reception, administration and parts divisions of the business.Polite courteous and safe driving is essential.Completing records of jobs done

Repairing vehicles as above including the safe use of garage equipment and recovery vehicle tools and equipment. Maintaining work premises indoors and outdoors as required, along with the equipment therein. Keeping garage and personal tools in good repair and ensuring they are tidied away at the end of each working day.Keeping and developing a good relationship with all customers. Further courses and update of knowledge will be required from time to time.

DRIVING QUALIFICATIONS:

A class 2 driving licence with CPC is essential. IVR training an advantage but can be provided to the successful applicant.
Any points acquired must be divulged.
