We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Class 2 HGV Driver & Jetting Operative based out of our Highbridge Depot to join our dynamic team working across Somerset, Devon, and Cornwall. You’ll be working on a variety of small and large-diameter sewer cleaning projects, including culverts and outfalls.

The ideal candidate will possess an up-to-date CPC driver card, and while experience in high-pressure water jetting would be advantageous, we provide comprehensive training to ensure your success in the role.

Holding qualifications such as PTS (City & Guilds) Confined Space Entry, NRSWA (Street works), and a valid CSCS card would also be highly beneficial.

As a HGV Driver and Jetting Operator at Glanville Environmental, your responsibilities will include:

Operating and driving Class 2 HGV vehicles safely and responsibly.
Adhering to all relevant road traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Conducting routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks.
Utilising high-pressure jetting equipment to clean and clear sewer lines and drainage systems.
Operating specialist jetting machinery and tools with precision and care.
Assessing and diagnosing blockages, obstructions, and drainage issues.
Implementing appropriate jetting techniques to effectively resolve problems.
The position entails working 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, being part of our client-centred 24/7 reactive service. This means that occasional participation in a call-out rota and willingness to work overtime will be essential, rewarded with enhanced overtime rates. Embracing a hands-on approach, this role demands both enthusiasm and flexibility, along with the ability to take initiative and work independently.
