We are excited to have an opportunity to find a qualified HGV technician to join our engineering team at our Spalding site and play a key role of the servicing and repairing of our large fleet of vehicles in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Salary: £39,130 – £41,938

Shifts : Any 5 out of 7 – Start times between 6am – 8am – 50hrs per week

Qualifications: BTEC Level 3 in HGV Maintenance

Desirable : IRTEC Licence (Preferred) HGV Class 1 Licence (Preferred) Driver CPC

You will be responsible for:

Maintaining sites HGVs and ensuring the work is completed on time and as per manufacturer guidelines.
Ensuring all breakdowns and reactive works are completed with high standards and in a timely manner.
Accurately diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults with the HGV’s and across the site.
Taking proactive measures to improve ways of working.
Accurately communicating technical information and outstanding work with your team mates
Escalating issues to relevant managers.

Be driven with a keen focus on safety
Carry out all aspects of vehicle maintenance and pass all legal and company specified tests
Maintain vehicles to the highest standards of maintenance
Ensure all work is accurately documented
Demonstrate good diagnostic and fault-finding skills ensuring first-time fix
Have experience working in a fast-paced distribution environment
Be confident working alone and as part of a team
Have a keen eye for detail
Be very self-motivated with a proactive approach to work
Upon success at the application stage, you can expect an initial call with one of our team members to give us the opportunity to get to know you and discuss the role. If the role criteria is met, you will be invited to have a tour of the site and department, meet and greet with the current engineering team, and attend an interview.
