Full job description
At the heart of Gist are our crucial team of Drivers. We are currently looking for Class 1 Drivers to become part of our Wardpark site. We are in search of people who can represent Gist on the road, champion Road safety as all our drivers do and demonstrate how efficient delivery within distribution is done.

What’s the opportunity?

You’ll play a vital role in making sure our stock is where it needs to be, on time. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that M&S products are transported via single or double-deck trailers between our depots, warehouses, and our customer safely whilst adhering to our Health & Safety regulations at all times.

Pay Rates:

£14.71 per hour day shift

£15.71 per hour night shift

Additional 50p per hour on weekends

Shift Patterns Available:

Sunday to Thursday , 02:00 onwards
Tuesday to Saturday, 02:00 onwards
Thursday to Sunday, 14:00 onwards
Sunday to Thursday, 16:00
What you’ll be doing

Your duties also involve tipping the vehicle, taking products off the trailer in cages or trays and into the M&S Stores, and of course some manual handling. This is a hands-on job, with plenty of responsibility. You’ll be out on the road but also working closely with colleagues and representing Gist to everyone you meet.

What you’ll need

HGV Class 1 licence
At least 18 months Class 1 driving experience
A maximum of 6 endorsements
No accidents in the last 12 months
No points for drinking or consuming illegal substances while driving
Manual handling of goods or multi-drop experience is highly desirable
