Gi Group are looking for a number of Class 2/ C HGV Drivers for one of our large National, leading business. Working form their Barton depot to carry out around 5-12 home delivery drops per day. Due to their continued growth of the business we are looking for around 10-15 Class 2 drivers.

As a Class 2 Home Delivery Driver, you will work any 5 out of 7 days, Monday to Sunday with a guaranteed 48 hours per week contract with the hourly rate of £13.50 per hour. The perfect candidate must be physically fit and have great customer service skills. For the right candidate, there may be a chance for this position to be temp to perm.

Main responsibilities:
Adhere to stated policies and procedures regarding delivery service and safety at the workplace.
Ensure daily vehicle checks are completed and faults reported to your transport office team.
Always offer a pleasant and concise delivery experience at each delivery visit.
Take full responsibility of operating company vehicles and equipment in a safe manner.
Ensure that Delivery Porters proactively makes customer phone calls with ETA’s and keeps records of deliveries.

ABOUT YOU:

Mandatory:
Hold a valid C license with no more than 6 penalty points.
Holds an up to date Driver CPC Qualification.
Holds an up to date Digital Tachograph Card.

Desired:
Experience in the ‘Home Delivery service
Good geographical knowledge of the UK

Rate: £13.50 p/h
Sunday: £20.25 p/h
Hours: 48 hours per week.
