Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods using a Articulated Curtainsided HGV while ensuring timely deliveries. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate various routes efficiently.

Role Description

Running from Warrington covering Northwest based collections and deliveries, followed by a daily collection at 5/6pm from the Sheffield Area before returning back to base in Warrington. This is physically demanding role, and requires the use of a pallet/pump truck to maneuver freight on the vehicle.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday Only – approx. 11am to 9pm

Duties

Operate a Articulated HGV to deliver goods to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Load and unload freight securely, ensuring that all items are sufficiently secured for transport.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the lorry.
Qualifications

Valid commercial driving licence (C+E) with a clean driving record.
Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with articulated lorries and loading/unloading procedures is advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and company policies.
