HGV Class 1 Milk Tanker Driver (evening shift, 4 on 4 off)

Now recruiting: HGV Class 1 Milk Tanker Drivers required in Lincolnshire, 4pm-7pm start, 8hr shift, 4 on 4 off

Due to the establishment of a regular trunking route we are seeking experienced Class 1 drivers to join our team based at Grantham.

This vacancy is for an evening shift starting between 4pm and 7pm and lasting approximately 8 hours. You would be delivering fresh milk to our customers, working a shift pattern on a 4 on, 4 off rota that would include weekends and bank holidays. Raw milk delivery is exempt from EU drivers’ hours regulations so will drive under GB domestic regulations. This job may suit you if you have daytime family responsibilities or other occupations or interests.

Delivery is by 44t artic, currently from a central collection base to dairy sites in the Midlands. Upon arrival, you will unload, run an internal cleaning cycle (CIP), before returning to base.

Your pro rata pay before overtime is expected to be in the region of £20,500 per annum, paid weekly. Annual CPC refresher courses will be provided and paid for by the Company.

It is essential that you are legally entitled to work in the UK, hold a C+E driving licence and have a digital driver card and a Driver Qualification Card (CPC card). Previous tanker experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

This job may appeal if you derive satisfaction from getting a vital national food product into the factory every day, whatever the weather. There may often be time spent waiting at the point of delivery, so a degree of patience will be required. Overtime work and further development opportunities are available for suitable candidates.
