About the Role
We’re seeking a Funds Lawyer to join our Macquarie Investment Management division. You will have circa 3 to 6 years PQE and will support our continued growth in the EMEA region. You will join our legal team based in London covering the Macquarie Investment Management (MIM) and Macquarie Specialised Investment Solutions (MSIS) divisions of Macquarie Asset Management. This role is focused on the MIM business division and would report directly to the Head of Legal (EMEA) for MIM and MSIS.
Our legal team is embedded within the MIM and MSIS business and the role will provide you the opportunity to work closely with the MIM distribution, funds management and project management teams.
Responsibilities will include legal support for:
- Distribution of UCITS and AIF products
- Assisting with the expansion of MIM’s presence in EMEA
- MIM’s client support team (including the drafting and negotiation of distribution agreements)
- MIM’s trading activities in EMEA (including negotiation of trading agreements)
- MIM’s Luxembourg SICAV fund platform
- Advice on EU regulatory developments.
- Implementation of regulatory projects.
You will be able to demonstrate strong technical legal skills combined with the ability to take a commercial approach to problem solving. As MIM is a global investment manager, you will be required to work on cross border transactions with the ability to communicate effectively between EMEA, Australia and the US.
