HGV Class 2 Driver

We are Firmin Recruit, an employment business working on behalf of our clients based in and around Kent.

We are currently looking for HGV Class 2 drivers for temporary work. – this can vary from odd days to full working weeks.

We have many clients based in and around the Medway & Swales areas, that have work available for Class 2 drivers to cover holidays and busy periods.

Hours of work: Mondays to Fridays – start time vary from 5am – 7am until finish. with a 45 min break deducted each day. Minimum 8 hours pay.

The work that we cover for our clients can be either multi drop (up to 15 drops) or distance work (no nights out).

Delivering mainly palletised items to business and residential addresses, can be heavy work, you will have the use of a pallet truck but some items may need to be handball.

Covering areas from Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Essex up to the North of the country. (depending on who you are working for and your run for the day.

Rates differ from client to client, minimum being £10.00ph Monday to Friday.

Temporary work can turn in to Permanent work for the right candidates.

You must have a valid HGV Cat C driving licence, tacho card and drivers CPC qualification card.

Due to our Drivers negligence insurance we are unable to accept anyone that has more then 6 penalty points and no DD or DI endoresments for Temporary roles, for Permanent roles it would be based on the clients insuarance requirements.
