Fenn Logistics have an opportunity for a LGV C+E Driver to join our ever growing team, to work as a M-F Day Driver.

We are based in Burton on Trent and are looking for a professional and competent Class One Driver to work, servicing a trunking route between East Midlands Gateway and a midlands Palletforce depot.

Currently this route operates from a modern diesel vehicle but will be switched to a Volvo EV in June. We are looking for an exceptional candidate who will embrace the change and lead the way for the team.

Daily hours are between 0900-1600/1800

This position is ideal for candidates who take pride in the cleanliness of their vehicle, and enjoy familiar regular work building rapport with teams working at collection and delivery points. We must strictly enforce the no smoking in commercial vehicles law.

Our insurance stipulates our drivers must be over 25 and have held a LGV licence for a minimum of 2 years, although we will consider drivers with less than 2 years with some experience providing our insurers will accommodate this.

On offer is a competitive salary, which is paid weekly as an all-inclusive fixed weekly salary. Interviews can be held at our client’s premises at short notice if you meet the criteria.

Responsibilities: – To deliver and collect goods and materials to specified locations throughout the UK in a timely manner and to ensure safe loading and unloading at all times. You must have the ability to plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules – Perform routine vehicle checks and maintenance. Must have a comprehensive understanding of the UK drivers hours regulations.

Key Skills: – Proficient in commercial driving techniques – Experience as a delivery driver preferred – Strong communication skills and customer service orientation – Excellent time management and organisational skills
