Express Recruitment are working alongside one of the East Midlands logistic providers specialising in the moving and storing of raw materials and finished goods. Due to a packed-out order book, our client is seeking the addition of a Transport Planner.

The successful candidate will receive a starting salary of up to c£30,000, 30 days holiday including bank holidays, life assurance cover, health cash plans, personal development paths and free on-site parking.

In order to be considered for this great opportunity a candidate must possess the following:

CPC Licence preferred but not essential
Experienced user of Transport Management Systems
Confident UK geographical knowledge
Experience in coordinating/planning transport within a fast-paced logistics environment
Understanding of latest compliance and regulatory standards for HGV Drivers
Demonstrable proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (excel, word, PowerPoint)
Full flexibility with shift work

We are looking for owner-drivers, fleet owners, and HGV drivers (Class 1 or 2) based anywhere in the UK and interested in taking the next step up and becoming owner-operators and transport company owners. To get started and apply for an Operator’s Licence, you need to have £8,000 which is a requirement of the UK and EU transport regulations (you won’t spend it). We can help you with the rest of the process.
