Summary

As we continue to expand we are looking to recruit a Class 1, Night Trunk HGV Driver on a 4 day week, flexible to cover 5 day when other night drivers are on annual leave. The main shift pattern will be 4 days per week Tuesday – Friday 18.00pm – 07.00am, shift starting at our Hailsham depot and delivering / collecting to and from The Pallet Network HUB in Swadlincote.

Responsibilities

(Responsibilities) Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently for HUB transfers.

Follow designated routes while adhering to traffic regulations
Provide excellent customer service during interactions with clients, colleagues and HUB staff.
Conduct daily vehicle checks.
Ensure compliance with all safety and drivers hours regulations
Work with warehouse staff and loaders to optimize processes, ensure trailers safely loaded with internal and throw over straps.
Keep vehicle in clean condition and ready for day driver.
(Qualifications) Valid Class 1 Driver’s License and Driver CPC.

Proven experience as a HGV driver in a night driving role.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations, drivers hours and best practices.
Excellent driving record with no points on license.
Good communication skills.
Good Geographical knowlege.
