About Us

Evans Transport Ltd is a well-established, family-run logistics company based in Caldicot Devon. With a reputation for reliability and excellence, we operate a modern fleet and provide comprehensive haulage and distribution services across the UK. We’re looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our workshop team and help maintain our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine PMIs & routine maintenance on HGVs & trailers
Diagnose and repair various mechanical, electrical, hydraulic defects as well as damage repairs
Carry out Vehicle & Trailer MOT preparation to DVSA standards to ensure high OCRS compliance
Use diagnostic software to help identify electronic issues
Complete job cards and service records accurately & in timely manner utilising a handheld tablet
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
Communicate effectively with Co workers, operations staff & Drivers as required
Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent
IRTEC accreditation (preferred but not essential)
Previous experience working with HGVs / Buses in a workshop setting
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable)
